We visit a lot of different websites each and every day. But most of them we really don’t know who is behind them. Well for me I wanted to put a face behind 4e23.com. To give you a little bit of my story so you will know who is behind the website you are visiting.
I grew up with a single parent which was Mom. She did an amazing job raising me and my brother all on her own. We always got what was needed but as she was a single parent there
And we grew up in a very rural area so a bike was needed. My bike didn’t have a fancy name on it. It had 5 fancy names on it because I pieced it together. But I was totally fine with it. I and my friends were pretty tough on bikes as kids.
The Work History Of My Story.
My very first job but not really a job was when I was 12 years old and I would walk the streets collecting aluminum cans. I did this because I wanted a pair of Pumas (sneakers) for school. And in the summer I did collect enough cans to get them. I also used to walk dogs and deliver a local newspaper. Which was for the fancy jeans. To go with my fancy sneakers.
At 15 I used to work all weekend at a friends of my moms little RV business. Doing odd jobs like cleaning the RV’s the shop and whatever was needed. This was a great job as it was all cash. Plus I made more on the weekends then I could all week with those other jobs I did. But it was a sacrifice of giving up my weekends. But it was worth it as at that point my thoughts were on getting a car.
The Next Chapter In My Life
Collecting cans, delivering newspapers, and walking dogs. Was not going to get me my car. As growing up with a single parent there was not going to be a car with a big bow on it for Christmas or graduation. If I wanted one it was up to me to not only buy it but ensure it as well. So I needed something that paid better.
So my sophomore year in High school when I could get my working papers. I got a job washing dishes in a Mexican restaurant. I would work 3 school nights till closing getting done around 11 pm. and weekend nights getting done around 12 – 1 am. It was not a glamours job. but a job none the less.
Over the span of about 4 years, I moved up from being a dishwasher. To
I Thought Construction Was My Calling.
So I joined a family-owned construction company doing anything from new construction to remolding. I did love the work and loved learning all the new skills required. Since college was not in the cards for me I thought I could make a career out of it.
Spent the most of the remainder of my life in construction of some sort. But was always looking for a higher paying job. I worked for a few companies building. Then got a job removing and installing underground storage tanks. Where I got my CDL license to do that. Then worked running gas lines to houses. And even worked for a well drilling company for a few years.
I loved doing all those different jobs. But they took a toll on my body. As I ended up with some pretty major back problems. Even needing a back operation. So I knew I would have to find some other type of work. But construction was all I did so what? My story can’t end there.
What I Came Up With.
Living so close to Atlantic City the casinos were my answer. So it came down to working with the slot machines or becoming a dealer. I went with the slot machines. So I took a course at the local community college to get certified to work on them. I ended up going to work for Tropicana in Atlantic City as a Slot Technician.
I worked there for a few years and had the chance to go work for a company that made Slot machines. That was the best job I ever had. And my first taste of working from home. Though I still worked for someone. Our office was in Las Vagas and since I lived in New Jersey. I worked out of my house.
And No There Is No Secret To Winning At Them. If You Want To Win At Them DON’T PLAY THEM LOL
I Then Had Some Health Issues.
This is where my story took a turn which I never thought it would. I ended up becoming ill and was sick for a few years. With it I needed to have a transplant. I waited on the list for a couple of years when I was blessed and received my Kidney and Liver transplant. this saved my life as I did not have long to live at that point. But this is not to make people feel sorry for me. Just telling my story.
Over the next few years after my transplant, I got back to almost normal. I still have some issues from all that which keeps me from doing the type of work I used to do. But I am not one to sit around and do nothing. I thought long and hard of what I could do for work. Since construction was all I did and can not do that anymore I was at a lost.
To get any kind of job I could perform meant going to school. This did not appeal to me. So I started looking for something to do online. I looked and looked and settled on becoming an affiliate marketer. And boy I loved it. It is hard and takes a lot of patience and perseverance. I can tell you the rewards are well worth it. After doing this I could not go back out in the workforce again.
So That is my story and you can see I started working online. I didn’t have a college degree, knew nothing about marketing, and very little of the internet. But I hung in there and made it work. And so can you.
